Dagstuhl seminar 11491 - Secure Computing in the Cloud

From Sunday, December 4th, 2011 to Friday, December 9th, 2011 I attended the Dagstuhl Seminar - Secure Computing in the Cloud. The seminar was organised by Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi (TU Darmstadt, DE), Benny Pinkas (Bar-Ilan University - Ramat-Gan, IL), and Nigel P. Smart (University of Bristol, GB).

I gave a short talk on current and future research, met several interesting people and had several interesting discussions.

My talks abstract:

Pahl, Marc Oliver, One Cloud for All – Virtual Revolution?

A Vision: Computation and storage are ambient resources that can be used
by everyone at any place at any time.
Via virtualisation every computing and storage resource can be used by
everyone. Via devices that augment my reality and via wireless connectivity
I have always access to the cloud, grid, net, …
My data is everywhere. The dissemination is not controllable and this is also
not wanted as the system is autonomous.

How can I have privacy in this vision?

Some thoughts on the example of automated functionality in and across
    buildings.
